Yuka Momiki was disappointed that Everton couldn’t manage to beat her former club Leicester City in the Women’s Super League at the King Power on Sunday.

The Japan international put in a player-of-the-match performance in what turned out to be a 1-1 draw, with a late goal from Noemie Mouchon cancelling out Ornella Vignola’s opener.

And of the accolade for her performance, she told the club’s official website: “I’m not satisfied with my performance, but I’m happy to get this one, especially against Leicester. I wanted to win against them, but maybe next time!”

Momiki: Everton are working hard

The forward underlined how committed the Toffees’ players are to the cause, despite a less-than-stellar run of results – without a win since the first game of the season.

“Everyone felt like we should’ve won this game, and we are getting better and better, game by game.”

She added: “We need to be 100 per cent every second, every moment, that’s what we need.”

Momiki: Positive vibes are needed

Everton’s next match will be at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as they host Manchester United, on Sunday, 12th October.
