Sonia Bompastor said she wasn’t happy with Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village – even though her side remain top of the league and unbeaten this season.

Her personal record with Chelsea now stretches to 30 matches unbeaten in the league since taking over in the summer of 2024.

But she was not thinking about those statistics after the final whistle.

“I’m not happy tonight even if I’m smiling – that’s because we couldn’t win the game,” Bompastor said to the club’s official website after the game.

“I don’t care about my personal record, I don’t care about our unbeaten run. The only thing I care about is making sure we get the good results this season to grab the title if possible. That means making sure we have good performances to have even more chances to win the league.”
