Everton are once again being linked with Sevilla right-back Juanlu Sánchez. Spanish outlet Orgullo Biri reports the Premier League side have reactivated their interest ahead of the January window.

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of Sevilla’s most valuable assets, particularly after the sales of Loïc Badé and Dodi Lukebakio. 

According to Orgullo Biri, Sevilla recently renewed his contract until 2029, strengthening their negotiating position and making any deal unlikely without a serious financial offer. The outlet adds that the club will not consider bids below £17m (€20m).

Juanlu has played a central role in Sevilla’s campaign so far. Last season, he made 31 league appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists, and his profile has grown further since. 

His versatility, being capable of operating both as a defensive full-back and an attacking outlet, is highlighted. That’s apparently a major reason English clubs are circling.

The player himself is not forcing a move but remains open if attractive sporting and financial conditions arise. Meanwhile, Orgullo Biri stressed that Everton’s need is urgent.
