Jesper Lindstrom spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Everton.

After a campaign which saw him score no goals, the Dane returned to Napoli in the summer. Soon after, he joined Wolfsburg on another loan.

It hasn’t been a great experience for the Denmark international, as he’s played only once in the Bundesliga.

AreaNapoli note the ex-Everton player is struggling for form and fitness.

Due to this lack of progress during the loan, fears are growing at Napoli about struggling to find buyers for Lindstrom.

Wolfsburg have the option to buy the 25-year-old permanently for €12m. So far, the possibility of a move looks unlikely.

Lindstrom’s current deal at Napoli runs until 2028. Given he joined for €25m, the midfielder is proving to be a burden for the Italian giants.

Even though he didn’t score for Everton, Lindstrom did have some good games for the Toffees. If he can do the same for the German club, his career could be back on track.
