Defender Charlie Finney, 21, came in for Hutchinson for his first start of the season against Notts and Bell said his performance has given him food for thought.

"I thought Charlie was excellent on Saturday, comfortably his best game for the football club, and Reece has just got player of the month, so it's a real dilemma which one I'm going to pick - we've got total belief in both of them.

"It's a really good position to be in so we welcome the headaches, because people are going to be left out on Monday."

Finney's first-team chances have been hampered by injury over the last few seasons, with 32 of his 36 league appearances coming from the bench so far.

After needing surgery to try to cure a persistent calf problem at the end of 2023, Finney signed a new one-year contract in the summer, with an option for another 12 months.
