I’ve not written a piece on Vital for a little while now, aside from a longer article that looked on Dave Artell’s entire managerial career following the former Alex bosses triumph with Grimsby Town over Premier League giants Manchester United. I’ve done a few pieces for the lads over at the Railwaymen Podcast too, but I’m back and should hopefully have 2-3 weekly articles for you Alex fans!

Today I’ll be taking a look at the Alex’s opponents tomorrow at 12:30 Notts County, a look at the worrying drop off and I’ll also attempt to give some positives to get you in the mood for tomorrow’s action!

After nine games our visitors are in 7th in League Two with 4 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats. They come off the back of an impressive 4-0 dismantling against Crawley and will be looking to be as ruthless this weekend as they were last Saturday. It was a slow start and internal and external pessimism over the appointment of Martin Patterson and involvement of the board on matchdays seemed to be proving to be very real. a 4-1 win against Shrewsbury secured the pies their first win of the season though...
