Liverpool will reportedly face extra competition for the signing of Marc Guehi in the months ahead. The Reds made an attempt to sign the Crystal Palace star during the summer transfer window but failed in their efforts.

A £35million deal was agreed for Guehi to leave Palace and join Liverpool on deadline day. In the end, though, the move fell through at the 11th hour after Palace failed to sign a replacement for the England international.

Guehi's contract at Palace is still set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he could leave as a free agent next summer. Liverpool have been mentioned as still having an interest in Guehi, but now there are reports of more clubs supposedly entering the race for his signature.
