Crystal Palace youngster Hindolo Mustapha’s loan move to FC Nuremberg has been labelled a ‘complete misunderstanding’ up to this point.

BILD cover the player today, stating that so far, the youngster’s move has been a complete failure for all involved.

They explain that the 19-year-old arrived at Valznerweiher in the summer looking to ‘take the next step’ in his career. So far, he’s been a long way from that.

Mustapha is yet to make it to the first team and has only played for the U23s. He spent their last game sat on the bench for 90 minutes. It’s the complete opposite of what he or Crystal Palace had imagined.

So far there’s a belief he’s been ‘miles from it’. It would be the required level. The newspaper say his shortcomings have been obvious for all to see, particularly in defence. He’s also shown somewhat lacklustre body language during training sessions.

All in all, the positives haven’t been evident in any shape or form. The whole thing has been nothing more than a ‘complete misunderstanding’. There is, though, positive news. Nuremberg have now decided that he’s coming out of the U23s.
