Former Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has previously delivered a ringing endorsement of Reds-linked Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner.

Current United chief Ruben Amorim is facing mounting pressure after Saturday's 3-1 loss at Brentford. According to the Manchester Evening News, Amorim still has the support of United's hierarchy for now, but speculation about his future continues to make headlines.

Amorim has managed just 34 points from a possible 99 in the Premier League since taking charge. United bosses were compelled to clarify his position after last month's Carabao Cup embarrassment against Grimsby Town.

This comes as reports suggest United have drawn up a three-man shortlist to potentially succeed the former Sporting manager if matters fail to improve.

Former England boss Gareth Southgate, Andoni Iraola and Glasner are reportedly being considered as pressure intensifies on Amorim to halt United's worrying slide.
