Tottenham Hotspur are banking on new head coach Roberto De Zerbi to keep them in the Premier League.

Having hired him on a contract until 2031, it is clear for everyone to see that the North Londoners just do not want De Zerbi to maintain their top-flight status. They want the Italian to change the culture, rebuild the squad and get the club back to challenging for trophies and positions higher up the table.

De Zerbi’s sole focus remains on getting positive results and moving his team away from the danger zone. Having worked with several top talents in his previous club, Marseille, the 46-year-old seemingly wants to reunite with one of them in the summer.

Tottenham are looking to add midfield reinforcements in the summer as part of their rebuilding strategy. They cannot afford to be reactive in the transfer market and must focus on signing players who can make an immediate impact under De Zerbi.

With Yves Bissouma out of contract this summer, Pape Matar Sarr attracting interest from Turkey and Joao Palhinha’s loan unlikely to be turned into a permanent deal, it is pivotal that the N17 chiefs bring in suitable replacements in the coming months.
