Rangers loanee Derek Cornelius has reportedly fallen out with Danny Rohl behind the scenes.

Rohl had stated that he would hold talks with Cornelius post the international break due to the centre-back’s lack of game time.

The Canada international had suffered an injury in November and has not played a single first-team game since then.

According to the Daily Record, Cornelius’ fall-out with Rohl means that the chances of him returning to Ibrox have taken a significant hit.

The Light Blues do hold an option to buy the centre-back at the end of the season, but a final decision has not yet been made.

It had been evident for weeks that Rangers are unlikely to sign Cornelius as he is probably the fourth-choice centre-back and any outlay on him would not really be worth it.

There were reports that Rohl banished him from the training centre, but shortly after that, the manager poured cold water on the claims.
