Tottenham Hotspur are expected to conduct a major overhaul of the roster when the summer transfer window comes around. And among many linked with a move away in what looks like a mass exodus in Roberto De Zerbi’s first summer at the helm at Hotspur Way, one surprise name has come up with links to Turkey.

Lilywhites midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has seen his future at N17 is under genuine scrutiny when summer comes around as Turkish outlet Takvim insists there is a tug-of-war among the Süper Lig giants for his signature. Fenerbahçe are reported to have restarted negotiations to sign the Senegal international, while Galatasaray are also reported to be in the frame for his signing.

This is not the first time Fenerbahçe has shown interest in Sarr. They have tried landing him before, but that came to nothing, although according to the aforementioned report, they are now pushing to take the 23-year-old to Istanbul more decisively than they did before, with talks said to be reopened for his signature.

While they have written about discussions, whether those are with the player’s representatives or with Roberto De Zerbi’s Tottenham (or both), is not mentioned in the report.
