West Ham United fell just short of a trip to an FA Cup semi final, losing on penalties to Leeds United. The original 90 minutes ended in dramatic fashion as the Hammers scored two stoppage time goals to send the game to extra time. West Ham would have the ball in the net twice but neither would count as they were forced into the lottery of spot kicks.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team would unfortunately fail to replicate their penalties from the last round, losing 4-2 in the shootout, with Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Felipe missing their penalties.

The Hammers went into the game missing a number of players through in injury but Bowen told the club’s official website that it does not change how gutting the loss is.
