Arsenal are preparing to submit a formal offer to Newcastle United for the potential transfer of Anthony Gordon to the Emirates Stadium next summer, according to Fichajes.

Following his move to Everton from Liverpool at 11, Gordon featured regularly through the ranks for the Toffees’ youth teams before making his Premier League debut at 18, in the 1–1 draw with West Ham United.

After 11 years at the club, the versatile winger secured a big-money move to Newcastle and has since enjoyed a meteoric rise with the club and individually, most notably earning 17 England caps as well as being part of the Newcastle squad that ended the club’s seven-decade wait for a title by winning the Carabao Cup last year.

Despite the Magpies’ poor form this season, Gordon has remained a key player for the team, particularly in the Champions League, where he has provided two assists and netted ten goals in 12 games, including a hat-trick against Qarabag, becoming just the third Newcastle player to score a hat-trick in the Champions League and the first to do so in the knockout rounds.
