Easter Sunday and it is a family get together in Peckham, a whole roast salmon then traditional roast lamb with all the trimmings and ridiculous amounts of chocolate eggs.

The mother in law is a big Arsenal fan, as are the fellas in her family.

As I arrive I cannot resist the opening line of “quadruple not looking too good…”

Proper football banter, we all love it.

Back at the end of September, me and the lad had bagged our first tickets through the ballot and for some reason ended up first class on the train from London, with a bunch of Prada and Paul Smith clad old boy Gooners.

Back then, they reckoned Mikel Arteta was due the chop and fully expected it if they didn’t beat Newcastle United on that day.

Fast forward to my Easter afternoon in Peckham.

And of course it is time to discuss football with my kid’s big uncle Kilechi who was born and grew up around Highbury.

As an Arsenal fan, Kilechi has never had time for Arteta and has seen through his shenanigans, he is frankly embarrassed by him and his post-match comments.
