In what is a last roll on the dice, Tottenham Hotspur have brought in Roberto De Zerbi as their new permanent head coach after parting ways with Igor Tudor last weekend.

So much has been going on at White Hart Lane this season, and while hiring Roberto De Zerbi has raised several questions, Spurs’ executives believe that he is the right coach to guide the crisis-riddled squad away from the Premier League relegation zone. Tottenham are dangerously close to dropping into the bottom three, just one point ahead of West Ham United, who have looked a rejuvenated side in the last couple of months.

On Friday, the Italian tactician finally got a chance to meet his new group of players at Hotspur Way training ground. He took his first training session as the Tottenham head coach, and the fans were handed an injury boost as Mathys Tel was spotted in training. Having withdrawn himself from France Under-21 duty following a minor injury, the sight of Tel doing drills would have pleased the fans.
