Galatasaray have reportedly made the signing of Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte a priority, with a new report outlining their proposal to land him.

United exit on the cards

Ugarte is facing an extremely uncertain future at Old Trafford amidst his struggle to make an impact since joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024.

United paid an initial fee of £42 million to secure Ugarte’s services but he has struggled to justify that price tag.

He has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth under all three managers that he has played under, with current caretaker boss Michael Carrick using him even more sparingly. Ugarte’s limitations on the ball have been a particular source of frustration for supporters.

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Ugarte is attracting interest from Serie A. Galatasaray have also been previously mentioned as admirers of his.

More recently, a report covered by The Peoples Person claimed that Juventus are prepared to sign him on an initial loan deal with the option to make his signing permanent at the end of the 2026/27 campaign.

Turkish Football have now issued an update, indicating that Galatasaray have designated Ugarte a priority target.
