Liverpool fans should be well aware of how those in a position of power at Anfield currently view Arne Slot.

Despite dropping out of the top four and suffering the joint-most Premier League defeats since 2015/16 (10), the Reds are still backing Slot for the time being.

However, a new report has suggested that this could change in the coming months, with swift exits in the FA Cup and Europe, as well as no Champions League football being secured for next season.

The Guardian have reaffirmed this weekend that despite the issues throughout the campaign to date, there are no immediate plans to change managers on Merseyside.

It is said that Fenway Sports Group, Richard Hughes and more accept that this season has thrown up ‘unprecedented challenges’ for Slot.

However, while FSG are willing to back the Dutchman for now, the three aforementioned factors could change that.
