Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Galatasaray playmaker Gabriel Sara at the end of the season.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, the 26-year-old is open to returning to the Premier League, and Tottenham have already made initial contacts regarding a potential move. The playmaker could be available for a fee of €45 million in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether Spurs follow up on their interest with an offer to sign the player.

They need more creativity and technical ability in the midfield, and the 26-year-old will help create goal-scoring opportunities by opening up deep defences with his passing and vision. The Brazilian has six goals and three assists to his name this season. He can operate in central midfield as well as in the number ten role.

The former Norwich City midfielder will feel that he has unfinished business in English football, and the opportunity to join Tottenham could be attractive for him. However, the North London club will have to secure safety in the Premier League first. They cannot hope to attract quality players playing in the second division next season.
