Liverpool supporters hoping for Arne Slot to be sacked should prepare for disappointment this summer.

The Dutch coach has been in the firing line since the autumn having led Liverpool on a shockingly poor Premier League title defence.

However, Slot has survived some abysmal results with the Reds, and though fan unhappiness is growing stronger, the 47-year-old has strongly suggested that he will not be leaving Anfield ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Manchester City.

With so much still needing to be added to the Liverpool squad, many supporters do not want to see Slot given the chance to make more mistakes in the transfer market this summer.

Part of the remit will be to replace Mohamed Salah, and the Dutchman – along with Richard Hughes – has so far shown that he cannot be trusted with such big decisions.
