Tottenham Hotspur have had a season to forget so far, and currently sit just one point above the relegation zone with seven games remaining. They have recently hired Roberto De Zerbi as their new head coach, but before his arrival, the club are understood to have already made a decision on the future of a Spurs player.

That player is none other than Yves Bissouma. The 29-year-old is no longer a key player for the Lilywhites, and they do not want to keep him at the club. As a result, recent reports suggest the club bosses have decided to let the Malian international leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Having joined Tottenham from Brighton and Hove Albion in 2022, the midfielder’s optional year will not be activated by the club. Yves Bissouma’s entourage are already in discussions with potential suitors as the summer window approaches.

Bissouma showed his quality at Brighton, where he made 124 appearances in three seasons. This led to a move to Tottenham in 2022, although the tough-tackling midfielder hasn’t lived up to the lofty expectations of the club officials and the fans.
