Liverpool are set to overhaul their underperforming squad, with Anfield chiefs ready to sanction a significant summer revamp.

The Reds kicked off the season as reigning Premier League champions and were heavily tipped to hold onto their title. This followed a summer in which they splashed out over £400million, even breaking their own transfer record twice.

However, the signings of Florian Wirtz for £116m and Alexander Isak for £125m have not had the expected impact, with their defence rapidly falling apart. Liverpool now trail leaders Arsenal by 21 points and face a struggle just to secure a spot in next season's Champions League.
