On March 23rd, the Wooldridge School Park mini-pitch in North Austin got a fresh surface thanks to 4ATX Foundation and Austin Parks Foundation as part of a shared investment through the Verde Pitch Alliance, a $2M investment in free, public soccer spaces across Central Texas.

Volunteers came together to assemble the new SnapSports modular tiles while refreshing the surrounding park with trash pickup and mulching. The upgraded surface uses patented technology to increase quality of play, safety, and longevity, keeping this community hub accessible for families who come together through soccer. 

Constructed in 2020, the Wooldridge mini-pitch was the first state-of-the-art soccer mini-pitch brought to Central Texas by 4ATX, and an estimated 150,000 residents live within walking and biking distance. The space is critical to 4ATX staying on track to reach its goal of 1,000,000 Central Texans living within 3 miles of a 4ATX soccer space by 2030.
