Mikel Arteta has given his Arsenal players a simple instruction to win the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

After close to six years since the last piece of major silverware, the Gunners could finally end a trophy drought that has crept up on them despite their competitive title-chasing streak.

In that time, however, Arteta believes his team have learned plenty, and the experience they have gained gives them a chance to justify their presence at this stage.

“It's one of the defining moments because at the end, it's whether you win the trophy or not,” Arteta stated. “And that's the most important thing once you get to the final.
