Red Bull New York II (2-0-1, 7 pts.) earn a point on the road against  NYCFC II (0-0-2, 3 pts), via a 1-1 draw and 4-5 penalty kick shootout loss on Sunday night at Belson Stadium.

NYCFC II opened the scoring in the fifth minute when midfielder Maximo Carrizo won a ball off a Red Bulls II defender and played a ball through to forward Seymour Reid who placed a shot into the bottom left corner. 

RBNY II equalized in the 21st minute. Midfielder Nate Worth played a ball toward the top of the box to midfielder Rafael Mosquera who took two dribbles inside and laced a left footed shot into the top left corner of the net.

Goalkeeper Tobias Szewczyk made a huge save in the 87th minute, denying a one-on-one opportunity from Reid to keep the score level. 

The match moved to a six round-penalty kick shootout. Forward Mijahir Jimenez, Mosquera, midfielder Dennis Nelich, and defender Juan Mina converted their attempts while Worth and midfielder Paul Sokoloff had their shots saved. Szewczyk made one penalty kick save as the side fell 4-5 in the shootout.
