FA Cup quarter-finalists Port Vale were brought back down to earth with a 2-0 home defeat to high-flying Bradford.
Vale beat Sunderland on Sunday to reach the last eight for the first time since 1954 but they remain adrift at the bottom of League One after a one-sided game at Vale Park.
Ben Waine, Vale's match-winner against Sunderland, cleared off the line from Matthew Pennington as Bradford threatened from the start.
Ethan Wheatley then burst clear but was denied in a one-on-one with home goalkeeper Joe Gauci.
The Australian saved well from Bobby Pointon and Josh Neufville fired over from inside the box as Bradford kept up the pressure.
Bradford took the lead after 31 minutes. Gauci parried Tyreik Wright's attempt and Pointon was first to the rebound to score.
Gauci again came to Vale's rescue with another good save from Wheatley at the end of the half.
The keeper denied Wheatley once more before Bradford went further ahead in the 66th minute with Wright blasting into the roof of the net from 20 yards.
