Manchester United goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce has sent a confident message as she and her teammates prepare to face Chelsea in the League Cup final this weekend.

Trophy on the line

United play in the League Cup final for the first time on Sunday when they come up against holders Chelsea.

The Reds will make their way to Bristol City’s Ashton Gate Stadium with the aim of joining Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City as the only clubs to have won the trophy.

This will mark the seventh consecutive time the Blues have reached the final. United, meanwhile, are no strangers to facing Chelsea on cup final day.

The Red Devils have lost to them in two of their three FA Cup final meetings, though they did defeat Tottenham in 2024 to secure the club’s first major trophy.

Ahead of the fixture, Tullis-Joyce spoke to the BBC and expressed belief that United can match Chelsea’s level and possibly eclipse them.
