The Rangers legend was "bemused" as Benjamin Nygren's goal was allowed to stand, despite the Swede allegedly being in an offside position.
The Hoops' winner was reviewed by VAR and determined to be marginally onside due to Gavin Molloy's foot.
The goal was therefore awarded, securing a 2-1 victory for Martin O'Neill's side and closing the gap on Heart of Midlothian to five points.
