Isn’t it funny how, whenever the Ibrox club has a bad day, the coverage always tries to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative? As the famous song once said. There’s very little they can say about the performance overall, so the focus falls on the first half, where they dominated and built such a strong lead that no one saw a way back for Celtic.

Yet in the second half we controlled the game so completely that if we’d scored our equaliser ten minutes earlier, we’d have been pushing hard for a winner and probably would have found one.

I was tempted this morning to go hard at some of the hacks and what they published last night about the game. Tom English at the BBC, for example. His match report spends the first half sounding less like a straight reporter and more like a gushing fanboy. There’s one section about Mikey Moore where I genuinely thought I might need the bucket. His description of a bit of showboating ends with a Celtic player taking the ball off Moore, yet somehow that didn’t seem to dampen his enthusiasm for the player.
