Arsenal are assured to finish above north London rivals Tottenham as the Gunners' fans celebrate the earliest St Totteringham's Day ever. Spurs' 2-1 loss at Fulham on Sunday afternoon confirms it is the earliest point of a Premier League season that Tottenham cannot beat Arsenal's points tally. Fulham surged into a 2-0 lead courtesy of a contentious Harry Wilson goal, before ex-Arsenal star Alex Iwobi doubled the Cottagers' lead. Richarlison clawed one back for Spurs in the second half but the day ended in defeat for Spurs.

Igor Tudor's team failed to capitalise on losses for relegation contenders West Ham United and Nottingham Forest this weekend as they suffered a fourth successive defeat in the league. Troubled Spurs remain in 16th position, four points ahead of West Ham in the final relegation spot with the other two places in the drop zone virtually certain to be occupied by Wolves and Burnley.
