Aston Villa are expected to grant the 1897 Group space inside Villa Park to help boost the atmosphere for the remainder of the league season.

The fan group should be visible inside Villa Park with flags and banners during the final five home league games of the campaign, after the club’s football staff - including Unai Emery - encouraged efforts to enhance the matchday atmosphere.

The 1897 Group could be housed in the R7 block of the lower North Stand for four of the remaining home league fixtures, and in parts of the lower Holte End for the match against West Ham.

Crucially, it is planned that the 1897 Group will not displace any season ticket holders in these areas of the stadium. The group’s members already hold season tickets for the remaining home league matches, meaning they are not jumping any queues for tickets either.
