Unai Emery expects Alysson to be fit enough to feature in the Aston Villa squad to face Wolves on Friday night.

The Brazilian winger has only made one appearance for Villa since joining the club from Gremio in January.

Alysson featured in the last 20 minutes of Villa’s late win over Brighton last month, as Jack Hinshelwood scored an own goal in front of the Holte End.

Ahead of Villa’s trip to Molineux, Emery was asked if he’d have any of his players come back from injury.

“Alysson is coming back, probably in the squad tomorrow in case he trains fine this afternoon.

“The other players, apart from the ones who we knew were injured, we hope will be available tomorrow.”

John McGinn remains sidelined with a knee injury, but could return for Villa’s Europa League first leg at the earliest.

Youri Tielemans will return to action after the March international break, while Boubacar Kamara is ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
