Manchester United grounded out a gritty 1-0 away victory over Everton in the Premier League on Monday night.

Benjamin Sesko emerged from the bench once more to find the net, intensifying the clamour for head coach Michael Carrick to hand him a starting berth next time out.

While Sesko proved to be the difference-maker, Senne Lammens clearly stole the spotlight with his flawless display.

Lammens had to work really hard to earn his fifth clean sheet of the 2025-26 season.

Carrick acknowledged the significant effort from his goalkeeper after the game.

He said (via BBC Sport): “He made a couple really good saves, he looked calm and composed in a tough environment.

“A lot of corners coming in under his crossbar, didn’t get flustered, took some good chances and clean hands. He was immense for us tonight.”

Everton relied on corners to bring the game level after Sesko fired United ahead.
