Former Chelsea midfielder Gus Poyet has warned Cole Palmer against joining Manchester United.

Reports emerged in recent weeks that the England international was looking for a move away from Stamford Bridge and eyeing a return to the North West.

It was claimed that the Red Devils were interested in the former Manchester City attacker while social media activity suggested that he could move to Old Trafford and join the club he supported growing up. It was claimed that Palmer was unsettled in West London, though Liam Rosenior dispelled the notion at the end of January and reaffirmed that the 23-year-old was happy with the Blues.

Poyet, meanwhile, has warned Palmer over moving to the Red Devils as he believes they aren't the force they once were and that Chelsea are a better-run club.
