Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider reports that French striker Wilson Isidor wants out of Sunderland. He is pushing for a move during the upcoming summer transfer window. Isidor played a big part in the Black Cats’ promotion push last season. However, the 25-year-old forward has now fallen out of favour under the current system at the Stadium of Light.

Regis Le Bris clearly prefers Brian Brobbey to lead the line. This leaves Isidor stuck on the sidelines with only the occasional appearance off the bench. Recent Everton transfer news suggests that the Merseyside club are still the frontrunner to sign him. This follows a failed attempt to bring him in during the winter.

Regis Le Bris is sticking firmly to his 4-2-3-1 formation. This setup makes it tough for any other centre-forward to break into the starting eleven. Brian Brobbey has locked down the starting spot. He moved from Ajax for a big fee and has started the last eleven Premier League games with impressive consistency. So, Wilson Isidor and his young teammate Eliezer Mayenda have to settle for whatever minutes are left over. These small chances only come once the main striker leaves the pitch.
