Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Alessandro Bastoni, according to Italian outlet CalcioMercato.
The Gunners already have a strong defensive setup, while also boasting one of Europe’s most potent attacking units.
Bastoni is considered one of the top defenders in Europe, making him a highly appealing target for Arsenal in the summer.
There are, however, no reports suggesting the Italian defender is interested in moving to the Emirates Stadium at this stage.
Inter Milan are unlikely to sell their prized asset, though Transfermarkt currently values Bastoni at around £69 million.
This season, the 25-year-old has made 30 appearances in all competitions, demonstrating consistency and reliability for the Serie A giants.
Arsenal are not the only club showing interest. Spanish giants Barcelona are also reportedly monitoring Bastoni to strengthen their defensive line.
The Italian is a modern centre-back, known for being left-footed and highly capable with the ball at his feet, adding quality to build play from defence.
Bastoni is praised for his composure, reading of the game, and ability to contribute offensively while maintaining defensive solidity.
