Tottenham’s winless Premier League run in 2026 extended to eight matches after a frustrating 2-1 defeat to Newcastle at home. Malick Thiaw gave the Magpies the lead right before half-time, and though Archie Gray equalized midway through the second half, Jacob Ramsey grabbed the winner moments later to compound Spurs’ misery.

Guglielmo Vicario – 5/10 Should have parried Thiaw’s header away from danger rather than straight back into the six-yard box for the opener. Made himself big to deny Anthony Gordon one-on-one in the second half. Nothing he could do about Ramsey’s finish.

Archie Gray – 7/10 Spurs’ most consistent performer on a poor night. Grabbed the equaliser after reacting quickest to Pape Matar Sarr’s header across goal. Created Tottenham’s best chance of the second half after his run from full-back saw him put in a dangerous cross, but Mathys Tel failed to keep his shot down.
