Tottenham Hotspur have been issued a clear verdict on Thomas Frank’s future at the club after their defeat to Newcastle United. Spurs were on the receiving end of a 2-1 loss to the Magpies on Tuesday night in the Premier League in north London.

Newcastle took the lead with a goal just before half-time from Malick Thiaw, with the visitors also having a goal from Joe Willock disallowed for offside just a few minutes earlier.

Archie Gray equalised in the second half for Spurs, but Newcastle regained their lead with a goal from Jacob Ramsey to hand Frank’s side yet another defeat.

The loss leaves Tottenham in 16th place in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone, which has led to increased uncertainty around Frank’s future at the club.
