Liam Rosenior criticised Moises Caicedo after Chelsea’s hugely disappointing 2-2 draw with Premier League relegation-battlers Leeds United.

Chelsea looked set to extend their perfect Premier League record under new boss Rosenior after going 2-0 up against Leeds at Stamford Bridge.

Joao Pedro broke the deadlock midway through the first half and Cole Palmer doubled Chelsea’s lead with a penalty on the hour mark.

But Leeds levelled the match with two goals in six minutes, Lukas Nmecha scoring from the spot after Moises Caicedo brought down Jayden Bogle and Noah Okafor equalising following a Chelsea defensive mix-up.

A win would have sent Chelsea above Manchester United and into the top-four places but a deflating draw means they stay fifth.

Rosenior called the result ‘ridiculous’ given Chelsea largely dominated and saw Palmer miss an open goal from just yards out late on.

‘We didn’t take care of two key moments, we didn’t stay calm,’ Rosenior said in his post-match press conference.
