Jamie Carragher says he changed his stance on Manchester City’s Premier League title aspirations after they signed superstar goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG.

Donnarumma produced another superb performance to help Man City beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield and keep the title race alive.

Man City launched a surprise move for the Italian shot-stopper towards the end of the summer transfer window, welcoming him to the Etihad Stadium in a deal worth £26m.

James Trafford looked set to be City’s No. 1 this season following his £31m move from Burnley but the England U21 star was immediately displaced by Champions League and Euros winner Donnarumma.

Donnarumma has been kept busy this season in a Man City team still yet to hit their top form despite being involved in a tense title race with Arsenal.

The 26-year-old produced a brilliant save to keep out Alexis Mac Allister and deny Liverpool a point at the end of a thrilling Premier League clash on Sunday.
