Last summer, Barcelona signed Marcus Rashford from Manchester United on loan with an option to buy. Ruben Amorim’s decision to leave him out of his plans saw the forward move to the Camp Nou.

Amorim left Old Trafford in January, and the Red Devils have appointed Michael Carrick as the interim manager until the end of the season.

Manchester United’s results have improved under Carrick, and this has led to suggestions in the UK of the possibility of Rashford returning to Old Trafford.

Thursday’s edition of Sport covers that and then looks at the forward’s plans for the future beyond this season.

The England international has managed 10 goals and 13 assists from 33 matches for the La Liga side this season. Hansi Flick expects more from him and is hopeful the 28-year-old can ‘unleash his full potential’.

Sport now claim everything suggests Flick’s side will retain Rashford, either by exercising the clause or negotiating a lower price with Manchester United. The attacker can also see himself staying at the Camp Nou for long and is ready to take a pay cut.
