Thomas Frank was grilled about Cristian Romero and the transfer window in particular at his press conference on Thursday afternoon ahead of Tottenham's trip to Manchester United in the Premier League.

It is the first time the Dane has been in front of the media since the transfer window closed with Spurs supporters left frustrated at the lack of signings in the final days despite the club's big injury crisis with mostly long-term absentees. Frank had spoken about the merits of a loan signing or two but in the end Tottenham could not find anyone of the required quality.

After the window closed, Tottenham captain Cristian Romero spoke out in an Instagram post about the lack of players at the club 24 hours after the 2-2 draw with Manchester City and Frank was asked about that post from the captain and the latest on the skipper's illness and Micky van de Ven's injury as well as Dominic Solanke's ankle ahead of the trip to Old Trafford on Saturday.
