Benjamin Sesko scored a late goal to beat Fulham at Old Trafford, ensuring a third consecutive win for Michael Carrick’s Manchester United.

Carrick’s impressive start should strengthen his case for a long-term appointment; however, not for Roy Keane.

The United legend believes the interim head coach should not be given the permanent job, even if he wins every game until the end of the season.

Last year, Keane said he would like Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone at the helm at Old Trafford and create a “good havoc”. 

“I think he’d rock up to that place and say, ‘This is how you do things.’ No guarantee, but I just like to see his personality, even his track record,” said the former United midfielder.

Simeone is certainly one of Europe’s best managers, having turned Atletico from a mid-table La Liga club to regular title challengers. The Los Rojiblancos have won two league titles and played in as many Champions League finals under the Argentine tactician.
