Leeds United are set to sign Manchester United academy youngster Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher. The attacker, 17, featured for Serbia’s Under-19s aged 16 last September.

Ibrovic-Fletcher, who was born in Leeds, can play as an attacking midfielder or as the main striker. The teenager has played seven times for Man Utd’s under-18s this season but has not made an appearance for the team since November.

The young prospect will join up with Leeds in due course, with academy signings not bound by first-team transfer timeframes. His arrival follows that of 18-year-old Nigeria international Leonard Ngenge.

The centre-back has joined the under-21s having made two senior caps for his nation. He has signed an 18-month contract which keeps him at Elland Road until the end of next season, albeit there are hopes he can eventually progress to the first team.
