A late loan move involving a Tottenham Hotspur youngster is beginning to gather pace as the final hours of the winter window tick away.

With only a few hours left before the winter window slams shut, deals are expected to be flying in right, left and centre, and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be involved.

The Lilywhites are keen on making a few additions to their squad before the window closes, but a few players could well be heading out the door.

Spurs still have a few of their youngsters who will be itching for more regular minutes at the senior level, and one such player is already attracting interest with only hours left in the winter transfer window.

According to journalist Alasdair Gold, it is understood that League One side Mansfield Town are currently leading the way to sign George Abbott today on loan from Spurs.
