Tottenham Hotspur are fans of a young midfielder who is turning a lot of heads in Belgian football, but there is one roadblock they need to overcome.

Spurs have already strengthened their midfield department this summer with the signing of Conor Gallagher.

However, reports over the last few weeks have suggested that the Lilywhites could look to add another central midfielder to their squad.

With Rodrigo Bentancur out with a long-term injury, it has now emerged that the North Londoners are turning to a number six, who is impressing for Club Brugge this season.

Journalist Matteo Moretto has now revealed that Club Brugge’s Aleksandar Stankovic has been scouted by several Premier League teams, including Spurs and Man United.

The 20-year-old, who is the son of Serbian legend Dejan, joined the Belgian side from Inter Milan just last summer, and it is revealed that the Nerazzurri will have the final say as they have a buy-back clause for the youngster.
