Last week, Gianluca Di Marzio revealed Watford were closing in a move for Udinese’s Saba Goglichidze.

The deal was nearing completion, with the Georgian arriving on a loan. Hornets’ assistant sporting director Valon Behrami also indicated that the centre-back was a target and his profile was appreciate by the London club.

While talk about the Watford deal has died down, it seems like the move will go through.

Udinese manager Kosta Runjaic spoke to the press ahead of their game against AS Roma on Monday.

He was asked about the 21-year-old. The Pole clarified that Goglichidze has already left the club to join Watford.

He said – relayed by TuttoUdinese: “Kamara and Rui Modesto will be out, as will Zaniolo. Goglichidze has left. We have a limited squad right now, but we have to live with this situation.”

Runjaic apeared annoyed at the situation but is clearly making do with what he has.

Besides, Udinese are about to land Croatian talent Branimir Mlacic. He could act as a replacement for Goglichidze.
