Harrison Armstrong will remain with Everton for the rest of the season.

The teenager spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Preston, where he became a key part of the club’s Championship promotion drive. He was recalled by David Moyes at the start of the month and has since become an important player, starting the last five successive games.

Moyes had been open to allowing the 19-year-old to return to Deepdale for the remainder of the campaign and said it would be wrong to read too much into his use of the England youth international after the 1-1 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
