Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a much-needed victory over Leeds United. The Gunners claimed a 4-0 victory in their top-flight clash on Saturday afternoon to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Martin Zubimendi opened the scoring for Arsenal to give the visitors a first-half lead at Elland Road, before a Karl Darlow own goal doubled the advantage for the Gunners just before the interval. Viktor Gyokeres added a third in the second half before Gabriel Jesus completed the scoring.

Mikel Arteta’s side were handed a major blow ahead of kick-off with Bukayo Saka suffering an injury before the match began at Elland Road.

The result against Leeds means that Arsenal now have a seven-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, as they now look ahead to a Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea in midweek.
