Marcus Rashford, who is currently on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United, had to wait for his opportunity against Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Rashford came off the bench with roughly 20 minutes remaining on the clock. He left his mark on the game with a late free-kick, grabbing his fifth goal in Europe this season.

Hansi Flick has given the Englishman limited starts in recent weeks, favouring Raphinha over the United loanee. However, the club’s hierarchy remain keen on keeping the prolific 28-year-old at Camp Nou beyond the current campaign. He has been directly involved in 21 goals across all competitions.

Barcelona have an option to sign Marcus Rashford permanently for €30 million. However, the La Liga giants’ financial predicament has made their pursuit difficult.

The Catalans do not wish to trigger the purchase clause and United have no desire to lower their asking price for the England international.
